Recently, the Zhejiang Provincial Institute of Metrology led the development of a national standard GB/T 23718.7-2022 "Requirements for Qualification and Personnel evalsuation of Machine Condition Monitoring and Diagnosis Part 7: Thermal Imaging", which has been released and implemented by the National Standardization Committee.

Machine condition monitoring and diagnosis technology is a close combination of the general principles of machine condition monitoring and fault diagnosis technology with relevant industry machinery and equipment. By monitoring various parameters such as temperature, noise, and vibration during the operation of machinery and equipment, the operation status of machinery and equipment is analyzed, and early prediction of machine and equipment failures is made to avoid sudden machine and equipment failures causing damage Significant losses such as product scrapping or personal injury. This technology can also achieve predictive maintenance tips, economically and reasonably organize machine and equipment maintenance, effectively reducing downtime, reducing maintenance costs, and extending service life. It has a wide range of applications in the equipment system of modern industrial production.

The formulation of this standard is one of the main research contents of the Zhejiang Provincial Key R&D Plan's selected commission project "Research and Application of Industrial Robots Based on in service Precision Intelligent Diagnosis and Calibration" undertaken by the Provincial Institute of Metrology. The release and implementation of standards provide technical support for the precision intelligent diagnosis and industrialization of industrial robots, and fully enhance the soft power of high-quality development of the intelligent equipment industry in our province.
